My Husky was up in the mountains last year in the summer and we found a tick on him. From the size of it the tick must have been on him for a day or two! We went to the local vet and explained everything. We told him that we give him Sentinal to stop this from happening. The vet explained that Sentinal doesnt prevent ticks but Nextgard does. We purchased Nextgard and have not had a tick issue since. So far we love the medication!

Fleas, and particularly ticks, are a year-round problem where I live. On top of that, I have a rescue Belgian Malinois that had ehrlichia when she came into rescue. Though successfully treated, it is critical that she not get reinfected. Combine that with the sensitivity that some Belgians have to flea/tick treatments and I have to be careful. Nexgard takes care of the ticks and is well tolerated. I can now let her run in the woods and be the wild woman she is.
